Nissim is a second-year MBA student at NYU Stern, specializing in Strategy, Finance and Leadership. Prior to Stern, Nissim led a $150MM Asian Development Bank-backed, Covid-19 response project to directly connect farmers and consumers through a sustainable digital platform. Before that, he co-founded an impact consulting start-up that deployed $30MM of philanthropy capital in India. Nissim started out in investment banking at J. P. Morgan, providing M&A advisory to Asia-Pacific clients. Past summer, he was a Summer Associate at McKinsey. Nissim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, and is a CFA Level 3 Candidate.

Karen is a second year MBA student interested in the intersection of innovation, finance, and 
social impact. She spent the past summer working as a strategist at Obran Cooperative, a social 
enterprise focused on worker ownership, and spent the previous semester working as a research 
assistant for the Invest SDG NYC Initiative at the NYU Center for Sustainable Business. Prior 
to graduate school Karen spent five years as a financial analyst covering the business services 
sector and ESG finance. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Karen grew up in Connecticut and 
earned her BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

Madison Friedman

Madison Friedman

Madison is a second-year MPA student at NYU Wagner, specializing in Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment. She previously led operations for the non-profit Up to Us, where she helped execute record-breaking voter registration and public health campaigns targeted toward Gen-Z. She most recently worked for LDP Ventures, an impact venture fund that identifies and invests in disruptive technologies across sectors sharing a common goal to better the world. Madison serves as the Co-Chair of the NYU Social Innovation and Investment Alliance (SIIA) and holds a BS in Political Science from Tulane University.

Sam Green

Sam is an MBA candidate at NYU Stern specializing in Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate. Prior to Stern, Sam worked in PwC’s Advisory practice for 4 years and took a 2-year hiatus from consulting to run a nonprofit bereavement organization called Experience Camps. He now works as the Strategy Manager for his family’s philanthropic foundation with a focus on serving the Greater Philadelphia community. Jordana Grunfeld is a former political and public affairs communications strategist.
She specialized in paid media production and developed comprehensive messaging campaigns 
for local and national clients, such as Bloomberg 2009, the Democratic Congressional Campaign 
Committee, NARAL Pro-Choice New York, Everytown for Gun Safety and Verizon. Jordana is 
currently an MPA-PNP candidate at NYU Wagner focusing on Social Impact, Innovation and 
Investment. She serves on several non-profit boards, including Madison Square Park 
Conservancy, Youth Renewal Fund and American Friends of Migdal Ohr. Jordana resides in the

Jun Bin Ho

Jun Bin Ho

Jun Bin is a junior at NYU Abu Dhabi majoring in its new Business, Organisations and Society Major and minoring in Computer Science. Whilst pursuing his degree, he has worked with leading VC funds in Singapore, Accelerating Asia and Golden Gate Ventures, across fundraising and investments, as well as with the Boston Consulting Group as a product analyst building its FinTech Business Intelligence Platform, the FinTech Control Tower. He is currently an analyst with Tribe Fintech, an early-stage startup offering banks an ecosystem-in-a-box solution for SME banking.

Jagger Huang

Jagger Huang is a second-year MPA student at NYU Wagner, specializing in Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment. Prior to pursuing her MPA, she worked at China Alliance of Social Value Investment (CASVI), where she was a Project Manager focused on ESG rating for Chinese listed companies. This past summer, Jagger interned as an ESG Analyst at a boutique broker dealer that raises institutional capital for ESG funds, where she assisted several projects in agriculture, clean energy, and ocean revitalization. In January 2022, Jagger co-launched a platform, FindCharity, to help Chinese nonprofit organizations scale by improving transparency and increasing interaction with the public. She holds a LLB in Anthropology from Sun Yat-sen University.

Todd Jelen 

Todd Jelen is a first-year EMPA student at NYU Wagner. Prior to enrolling at NYU, Todd had a successful 16-year career in investing and management roles at Varde Partners, a global investment management firm with over $13 billion of assets under management based in Minneapolis. Todd served as portfolio manager for a global asset-based lending fund and head of research for the U.S. corporate credit strategy. He also played a key role in fundraising. Prior to joining Varde, Todd was an investment banking analyst and associate at Lehman Brothers. Todd graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Jai is an undergraduate junior at NYU Stern, studying Finance and Computer Science. During the summer of 2022, he was a corporate banking intern at Citi on the healthcare and industrials mobility teams. Here, he gained exposure to clean energy finance products as they pertain to the EV space as well as traditional bank lending. Jai also has prior experience working in the government grants space, evaluating proposals from educational and professional services providers on how to enhance the local workforce and economy. Juan is a second-year MPA student specializing in Social Impact, Innovation, and 
Investment. Before and during his graduate work at Wagner, Juan worked as a consultant 
in urban development projects in North and South America. He has worked on metropolitan

sector urban development in developed and developing economies. Juan co-founded the 
First Level foundation, which focused on supporting human development through sports,

Alexandra Kotis is an MPA-PNP student specializing in Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment. She is currently the Philanthropy Fellow at The New York Community Trust where she supports the environmental, arts, and community development grantmaking program areas. Prior to Wagner, Alexandra served as Program Manager at the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, where she catalyzed local economic development by engaging community partners in public space. Prior to pursuing her graduate degrees, she worked as a Program Assistant for CYCLE Kids, where she oversaw the nonprofits expenses, revenue and grants. Sahil is a junior at NYU Stern concentrating in Finance and Sustainable Business with a minor in Advanced Mathematical Methods. Barbara Ricci

Barbara Ricci

Barbara is the Founding Principal at Ricci Advisors, a consultant to social enterprises including
for profit and nonprofit organizations. Prior to Ricci Advisors she was the Founding Executive
Director at Mindful Philanthropy, a nonprofit organization that engages, educates and convenes
philanthropies around cutting-edge investments in well-being. Barbara retired from a 30-year
career on Wall Street to fully devote her time to improving outcomes in mental health, addiction,
and community well-being.


She earned her BA from Franklin and Marshall College and her EMPA from New York
University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in 2019.

Isabella is a second-year Langone MBA student at NYU Stern, specializing in Corporate Finance and Strategy. Prior to Stern, Isabella was an associate at K2 Integrity, an investigative consulting firm. She also has experience working in non-profits and government. Outside of work, Isabella was an active pro-bono consultant helping founders of non-profits and social enterprises grow their organizations. Julie Tzeng

Julie is a second year MBA student specializing in Sustainable Business and Innovation and Corporate Finance. She is currently working as an associate intern at Plum Alley Investments, an early stage VC firm. Prior to Stern, Julie founded two retail tech startups - Arshae, circular 3D printed footwear, and Tote - an AI-driven discovery and analytics platform. She comes from eight years of experience as a footwear designer for international companies such as Aldo Group and JustFab. Gustavo Valverde Rezende

Gustavo Valverde Rezende

Currently a second-year MBA student at NYU Stern, Gustavo is originally from Brazil. He has a bachelor’s in business administration from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora and a master’s in finance from IBMEC. Before joining Stern, Gustavo worked in management consulting, public management, and corporate finance before joining Eureca, a purpose-driven startup, as Chief Financial Officer.  His latest job was as Strategy & Finance Leader at Grupo Anga, Eureca’s parent company, overlooking a portfolio of six purpose-driven companies. Melodie is a Senior at NYU Stern studying Finance, Sustainable Business, and Environmental Studies. She also has prior professional experience interning as an Impact Investment Research Intern at Bridges for Enterprise, a global nonprofit focused on offering pro-bono advisory services to social entrepreneurs in the developing world. At NYU, she is also involved in NYU Stern's Social Impact Fellows Program and is the current Vice President of Net Impact, NYU's social impact in business club where she also previously served as Treasurer. Mike Wang

Eric Wu

Eric Wu is an MBA student at NYU Stern, specializing in Finance, Strategy and Management. He is interested in impact investing and sustainable finance. While pursuing his MBA, Eric is currently a Senior Manager at KPMG Asset Management Practice based in Stamford, CT. At KPMG, Eric leads the annual audits of several multi-billion hedge and private equity funds. Eric is also a Certified Public Accountant in both NY and CT. Sarah Young

Sarah Young

Sarah Young is a second-year MPA student at NYU Wagner, specializing in Social Impact,
Innovation and Investment. She is currently the Operations Lead at San Francisco-based
startup, Roofr, where she has developed workflows and procedures for the fast-growing team.
During the summer of 2022, Sarah worked on the Food Security Unit at the US International
Development Finance Corporation, where she helped to originate debt investments in
agri-businesses in developing countries. Sarah serves as the Co-Chair of WagnerCares, a
volunteerism student group, and holds a BA in Rhetoric and Public Advocacy from Indiana
University.
